At Pebble, we're all about how to do more with less. This week has been all about using the Pomodoro Technique. If you're not familiar, set a timer for 25 minutes and focus on 1 task for that time. Then take a 5 minute break. Then..do it again. Pretty simple, and if you're easily distracted, this may be the approach for you! During the 5 minute break, we came across this....SPACE! If you've used Pomodoro, do you have a favorite app or way to track time?

The AI labs are great at building smarter and smarter AI systems. They aren't so great at understanding where smart AI systems can be useful. A remarkably good investment, at the individual or firm level, is time actively experimenting to find use cases in your area of expertise. If you are waiting for use cases to be given to you, you are going to wait for all of your competitors to squeeze value out of current AI systems - and to be better positioned for the next generation of better AI systems. AI is not being built for your use case. It is a general technology to adapt to your use case.

We had such a good time attending and presenting (aka: talking and chatting) at AIA Aspire Conference! Thank you so much AIA North Carolina and Aspire for the opportunity. few fun takeaways: 1. We LOVE Asheville! Guess living there for 17 years helps, but we were grateful to get to 'come home' to such a beautiful and vibrant city. Yay to far away friends who weren't so far away for a few days! 2. The Aspire conference is like no other...amazing to experience the city, move from venue to venue, and receive credits. 3. Thanks to our architect dad/FIL "Chuck" for taking pics, see below. 4. We are energized and will to continue learning how AI will impact and support and challenge and change our profession and hope for more opportunities to share with the AEC community.

We had a blast spending time right after the AIA Aspire Conference with the chance to sit and talk with 2024 Cohort of the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program about all things AI and the future of Architecture. Instead of the classic panel discussion, there was an inner circle and 2 people at a time jumped in with us to ask questions and talk. Honestly, a little more intimidating than a standard panel, but way more fun! Wonderful to meet and share with our fellow panelists, Evelyn Lee and Akhil Hemanth.
And it’s a wrap! Had a blast organizing and hosting the final session for the Christopher Kelly Leadership Development Program - Emerging Issues at the Intersection of Architecture and Society - The Future of Work and AI with AIA Georgia at the AIA Aspire Conference 2024 in Asheville with the best partner I could have ever asked for Joanna Bidani, AIA! Along with the amazing Keynotes, Talks and Chats at the conference, we were very honored to have 2025 AIA National President Evelyn Lee, FAIA exclusively address our group of young leaders followed by a panel discussion with Akhil Hemanth, Lindsey Rhoden, AIA and Thad Rhoden, AIA. Thank you for your valuable time and insightful words! We also had a wonderful AI workshop with Akhil on Sunday just for the group!
