I’m thrilled to share that I recently presented my poster on "Navigation System for Snowplow in Low Visibility" at the Movite Fall 2024 Conference held in Manhattan, Kansas. I’m incredibly grateful to have won the Undergraduate Prize for this Poster Presentation! ?? This work focuses on enhancing snowplow navigation in challenging weather conditions, leveraging radar and GPS technologies to ensure safe and efficient operations. Last week, 20 Iowa State University students from the Entrepreneur Club traveled to Tampa, Florida, to attend the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) national conference. The event featured a global pitch competition, where university students presented their business ideas to a panel of judges and a live audience. Out of hundreds of entries, six ISU students representing five businesses made it into the top 100, and three students (two businesses) advanced to the top 20. Once at the conference, one additional ISU student, Cam Reiman, was invited to pitch her idea on the spot. In the end, Zackry Brannen, founder of Perfect Plantista, achieved an impressive fourth place overall, earning $2,000 in prize money. The 2024 SheTalks event was nothing short of inspiring, as students, faculty, and community members gathered to celebrate the incredible stories of seven dynamic women from across Iowa State University and the Ames community. The event, hosted in a unique Pecha Kucha-style format, kept the energy high with each speaker presenting 20 slides in just 20 seconds each. The result? This past weekend, I had the privilege of participating in #HackMidwest in Kansas City alongside my teammates, Asray Gopa and Arjun Patel! Together, we worked on a project called BusinessCofounder. BusinessCofounder is a web platform that aims to accelerate the startup process for entrepreneurs by tackling two critical challenges: developing essential non-technical business acumen and connecting with potential non-technical cofounders. Our platform leverages cutting-edge AI technology to assist in creating business documents, legal paperwork, and pitch materials, while also offering personalized learning experiences. It provides valuable insights into crucial business domains such as marketing, finance, operations, legal matters, and fundraising, enabling tech founders to navigate the intricacies of scaling a venture without requiring in-depth expertise in these areas. I'm also excited to announce that our team secured 4th place in the Machine Learning Connect4 Bot Challenge, competing against 24 other teams. We developed a bot capable of devising strategies and playing Connect4 effectively. The journey was filled with challenges, which ranged from designing intuitive user experiences, to fine-tuning AI models for document generation.
