This week, we’re looking at how housing portals enhance efficiency for both staff and students, drawn from the insights of our 2024 State of the Student Housing Survey. ???? ?? Staff Efficiency: Room Assignments top the list, with 43.88% of respondents saying this feature saves them the most time—followed by Applications at 34.33%. Automating these tasks not only lightens the administrative load but also provides students with more flexibility and control over their housing options, reducing errors and ensuring a smoother process for everyone involved. ?? Student Experience: Applications are the most-used feature, with 83.24% of institutions reporting that students engage with this function extensively. As the critical first step in securing housing, the application process helps students submit their details and preferences seamlessly, setting the stage for their entire housing journey.
