Short workouts with resistance bands can not only build strength over time, but enhance mobility and flexibility. They are a great option for people who may not have the equipment for other types of strength training, and we can work with them right here in the Life Enrichment Program! ?? #Wellness #DailyHabits #BuildingOurHealth

Our Passport Program enjoys preparing the delicious treats they hand deliver as part of the Kindness Krew, this time to the employees at Linder and Associates. If your business would enjoy a visit from our group, let us know. Who doesn't need a little kindness - or sweet treat - in their day? #ChooseKindness

We honor our founder, Hattie Starkey, during Women's History Month with stories like this one: In 1965, months after a tornado destroyed the Starkey School at 144 S. Young St. (after the school day ended), Mrs. Starkey was called out of retirement for a ribbon-cutting and dedication for the rebuilt school. The West Wichita Lions Club and United Fund raised money for construction, as did local citizens who called the morning after the tornado to offer aid. At the time, 100 students with disabilities attended the school. Olivet Baptist Church served as a temporary school location during construction. At its dedication, Mrs. Starkey was quoted in the Wichita Eagle as saying: "They (the students) were so glad to get back." Board President Otto T. Hill said: "The help and cooperation (of the community) meant more than money to us." #WomensHistory #Legacy #StarkeyStories #95YearsInWichita

When you create your first-ever yearbook, it's time for a signing party! Individuals in our Gateway Program enjoyed refreshments while reflecting on photos from the events of the last year. So many good things have happened! #TakeTimeToCelebrate #Friendships #Growth
