I just have to share the best experience I’ve had with a recruiter. (Now let me just grab that recruiter/BD/networking hat I have laying around here… probably dusty but I’m sure it’s around here somewhere… ah yes, here it is.) A lifetime (1 LI profile) ago, I used to be an executive recruiter. I mainly worked in the CPG space along with a stellar researcher, and partnered with some world-renowned companies. During this time I also learned to appreciate great interactions and to take advantage of networking opportunities. Though I’m not actively looking for a new role, Ryan M. Scott made my day when reaching out recently. Thorough review of my LI profile, the framing of an opportunity that might spark an interest, a candid and genuine conversation. Not to mention Ryan is prompt when getting back to you! From the candidate perspective he’s everything I could hope for but from an employer perspective, you need to connect.
