Today we are celebrating their re-brand and looking forward to growing together as we support their mission to create an equal playing field for all, and their work with organizations around the globe dismantle inequality & build a better future for all!

Last week, in collaboration with our partners at Johnson, Kendall & Johnson we held our annual Insurance Cup & Cornhole Championship! This truly unique event brings together members of the insurance industry for a day of soccer, cornhole, community and giving back! We welcomed over 250 people, from over 25 companies, for an incredible day of fun and comradery at Starfinder! When we started this event in 2017, we raised close to $13,000 and this year, through the support of our sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise $65,000 in support of our mission! We are just a few days away from our annual Insurance Cup & Cornhole Championship hosted by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson! We are thrilled to welcome organizations from all across the country into our facility to participate in a day full of gameplay activities and networking with industry peers. Spearheaded by our partners at Johnson Kendall Johnson, this annual event is a unique opportunity for industry peers to come together to play soccer and compete in cornhole, in support of our soccer for social change initiatives! As a Community Impact Partner, we not only receive financial support for our mission, the PayPal team is also committed to supporting our youth and organization through volunteerism. Just this week, they joined us to help with some painting projects as we prepare to kick off our upcoming after school high school program, Playmakers. As September is quickly coming to a close, we are still in the Back-to-School mindset at Starfinder...and we're excited to see some of our youth already thriving, and even more excited to share that at the end of the summer, we made a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT about one of our alumni as he headed back to college ready to start his final journey toward his career!!! One of Starfinder’s priorities is FUTURE FOCUS. We want to empower youth to set goals and create a pathway to achieve those goals, with a growth mindset. Often, challenges beyond our own control can hinder our ability to achieve the goals we set for ourselves…and one huge barrier for so many people to complete a post-secondary degree is the cost of education. This year, we are so thrilled to introduce The ALUMNI REACH SCHOLARSHIP in honor of Sharon Kranys and Rudy Kranys. This scholarship was established to create a meaningful impact for a member of Starfinder’s alumni community, pursuing their undergraduate degree. The spirit of the scholarship is to help remove barriers, specifically for those individuals that might otherwise delay their studies or experience hardship in order to complete their degree. We were impressed by the applications we received from our alumni from 2016-2023, and after completing a lengthy interview process, we are OVERJOYED to announce that Adam Adam, class of 2018 graduate, Starfinder coach mentor, and student at ??Temple University?? as our first ever ALUMNI REACH SCHOLARSHIP recipient! This scholarship is truly a step toward real social change, and changing the trajectory for our youth beyond high school! Congratulations, Adam! COUNT DOWN ALERT: We are just 1 month away until our 2024 Insurance Cup & Cornhole Championship, hosted by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson This annual event is an opportunity for industry peers to come together in support of the mission of Starfinder Foundation. We look forward to a day of networking and fierce competition with one another, and we can't wait to see who will take home the official cup this year! Last year's Insurance Cup and Cornhole Championship was a great success and we look forward to an even more memorable day!

Earlier this month, our team had the opportunity to partner with Know Your Rights Camp as they hosted their 13th camp in Philadelphia! The mission of KYRC aligns with the work we do at Starfinder, as we share in the commitment of education, self-empowerment to elevate the next generation of change leaders. Our leadership team volunteered, our programs team chaperoned, and our young people got to experience an amazing day that was completely focused on amplifying and empowering them to access their fullest potential! Huge thanks to Colin Kaepernick, Nessa Diab and the entire KYRC team for prioritizing Philadelphia youth!

Exactly one week ago, we were at Radnor Valley Country Club for our 3rd annual Starfinder Golf Championship! We couldn't be more grateful to our growing community of supporters who join us in the belief that all youth deserve to learn, grow and thrive! We're thankful to our sponsors, committee and board who helped make the event a huge success! Even more special is that our day included PROGRAM ALUMNI in all three of those categories!
