The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of Goddard Riverside are deeply saddened by the passing of Nathan D. Taft. As a teen, Nathan volunteered with families impacted by homelessness. This experience set him on his life’s path. While employed at Jonathan Rose Companies, he oversaw the acquisition and preservation of 20,000 units of affordable housing. His mission extended to serving on the boards of the Goddard Riverside Community Center, Impact Capital Managers, and the Urban Land Institute's Affordable Housing Council. At Goddard Riverside, he leveraged his kindness, thoughtfulness and expertise to help?build our capacity to expand housing in NYC.?Nathan's legacy continues through the impact he has had on countless lives, providing them access to more hospitable, healthy, and environmentally sustainable housing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
