We are excited to share innovative research from Stanford Cardiovascular Institute members Dilip Thomas, Chikage Noishiki, MD, PhD, and senior author Nazish Sayed, MD PhD, featured in?Nature Cardiovascular Research. Their work uncovers how long COVID impacts heart health through immune response, inflammation, and endothelial cell dysfunction. Using innovative 3D organoids, this study sheds light on how COVID-19 influences the heart, leading to lasting cardiovascular issues.
