This Wednesday, November 13th 12-1pm PT we're delighted to welcome our very own Tech Hub visiting scholar and licensed psychodynamic psychotherapist, Friederike Fenski, to present on her blended?care approach to psychotherapy. Friederike will offer a comprehensive overview of the participatory development process behind a novel therapeutic online intervention (TONI) designed for outpatient psychotherapy in Germany.?TONI is a comprehensive digital?toolkit that includes twelve transdiagnostic and transtheoretical modules (like mindfulness, communication and understanding of emotions) as well as a range of self-monitoring tools. Psychotherapists that use TONI can individualize blended care by selecting?and ordering specific modules or chapters and by implementing TONI flexibly into the therapy process. Our panelists will discuss practical applications of digital CBTI in clinical settings - including best practices, benefits and challenges,?and lessons learned - with ample time for Q&A at the end. Dr. Manber will present on recent news from CMS and the FDA concerning digital CBTI and the results from her RESTING study on a stepped care approach, predicting which patients will benefit from starting treatment?with a digital modality. Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) developed this policy brief that summarizes frameworks that colleagues and I (led by Betsy Stade and Johannes Eichstaedt) developed for the responsible development and evaluation of AI to support evidence-based mental health intervention. There is a lot of potential, and we are already seeing LLMs pop up in a lot of areas, but given the complexities and high-stakes nature of mental health intervention, we need a thoughtful, phased development approach that considers safety, privacy, effectiveness, equity, engagement and the potential for implementation into routine care settings at every step of the way. https://lnkd.in/d9BumfnE H.
