Meet Payal! Payal has been one of the AOD Counselors for our RYSE Above Program for the past year. She is currently a college student pursuing her degree in Psychology. With seven years of experience in the mental health field, previously working with adults, Payal has seen firsthand how many individuals struggling with substance use began their journeys in childhood, often alongside experiences of abuse. After hearing stories and having personal experience herself, she knew she wanted to become an advocate for children and teens. Since joining the SSYAF team, she has enjoyed developing new skills and appreciates the support she receives from her team and other coworkers across various programs.
