Our Mission: We are Stanford’s first 100% inclusive VSO pre-professional club dedicated to ending the gatekeeping of finance at elite universities. SOCS serves as a bridge between two key student groups on campus: 1) Students pursuing careers in finance: We provide structured practice sessions and resources to prepare for technical interviews in consulting, private equity, and venture capital. 2) Student founders: We offer support ranging from early-stage ideas ("shower thoughts") to fully funded Series C startups, enabling these entrepreneurs to connect with aspiring consultants and gain valuable insights. Sustainability Branch: We are committed to helping startups integrate sustainability into their business models, if desired. Our consultants focus on impact-driven consulting, assessing startups across three key areas: People, Planet, and Profit. We assess diversity, inclusion, and community engagement; measure environmental impact using tools like Life Cycle Assessment; and explore how aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals can drive revenue growth and market expansion. We empower startups committed to both purpose and profit.

This fall, we’re selecting two Stanford-founded startups to become our clients for our Club Cases series, providing them with tailored consulting services. Our students are ready to begin stakeholder interviews, investment research, market sizing, and/or competitor analysis to help your startup tackle its biggest challenges. Selected startups will get the chance to present their case, work with our students, and receive comprehensive feedback to drive their business forward.
