?? Exploring Art, Identity, and Empathy at the Cantor Arts Center! ?? ? Last week, our APP fellows had the incredible opportunity to visit the Cantor Arts Center, Stanford University . This immersive experience invited them to explore themes of identity, culture, and community through a stunning array of artworks. The timing was perfect, coinciding with Stanford Health Care Creative Arts & Mindfulness Week! ? The Spirit House exhibition not only celebrates artistic expression but also inspires reflection on our personal and professional journeys in healthcare. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy, understanding, and connection in the care we provide. ? "The art gave us a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the cultures, customs, and communication patterns we inherit—and how we can carry this 'inheritance' forward to better connect with our patients and each other." — Emily Carroll, PA-C, APP Fellow in Cancer Care ? A heartfelt thank you to?Vivien Zhang and the?Cantor Arts Center, Stanford University team for hosting us and providing such a thought-provoking experience. Moments like these enrich our fellowship journey and inspire us to bring creativity, compassion, and mindfulness into our daily practice. ? #APPFellows #CantorArtsCenter #SpiritHouseExhibition #ArtsInHealthcare #EmpathyInMedicine #StanfordHealthCare #StanfordCenterforAdvancedPractice??? 关于我们
The APP Fellowship Program at Stanford Health Care is accredited with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a transition to practice program. Stanford's Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program offers fully benefitted 12-month positions designed to provide post-graduate training to new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who wish to transition into specialty care; and to experienced APPs who wish to transition to administration. Our goal is to provide support and training during transition to practice, allowing APP Fellows to build confidence and knowledge in the clinical specialties of Cancer Care and Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the leadership speciality of Administration. The Fellowship teaches the core competencies for specialty certification and offers the opportunity for APPs to gain in-depth exposure to complex specialty care and systems. Clinical APP Fellows work with diverse teams of providers focused on specific patient populations through Stanford's inpatient and outpatient settings. Administrative APP Fellows work with diverse leadership teams focused on operations and quality improvement throughout the organization.
