This year's Rise Together events were a huge success, and we are incredibly thankful to each person who made it possible. The life change that is happening here at Stand in the Gap is not something you see every day, and it could not happen without the faithful prayer, loyal volunteers, and generous donors that partner with us year after year. We are hopeful that each one of our guests walked away feeling empowered and excited to be a part of Stand in the Gap. Special thanks to Gaillardia Country Club, the Summit Club, Anna Shain art, Brooke Poindexter and her band, and our staff for making this happen.

Last week, we had the joy of receiving a visit from HoganTaylor. Hogan Taylor has been a faithful partner and donor for us for numerious years. We are so grateful for their donation, and their committment to making the world a better place and generously giving to organizations like ours. It is partners like them that make our mission a possibility. Thank you, Hogan Taylor!

What does #NoWidowAlone mean practically? We thought there was no better way to explain than by the words of a widow. This is Neta. Neta is a leader for many of our Life.Church widows small group leaders in the Tulsa area, and she has brought so many women together by advocating for the implementation of Stand in the Gap for Widows at her church. You don't have to be a widow to advocate for widows ministry in your church. You can be a #PersonofPassion that gets the gears turning in your community. Mission Meet-Up was a sucess! We had tacos from Carabelle's Eats & Treats, trivia time with Shannon O'Brien, some quick "Day in the Life" videos from participants in each of our programs, and a word from TJ Warren. We're so glad we got to connect with individuals and church partners in our community, and we believe God started a good work this week, and we are eager to watch him see it through to completion. Thanks to all who came! Special thanks to Maria Morris and Believer's Church for making this event possible.
