2024 PCI Precast Days is here! From October 7-18, everyone will have the opportunity to learn about precast concrete and its benefits, tour member plants, attend educational sessions, and much more. Significant progress has been made on the Howard Frankland Bridge project, Tampa's largest bridge construction to date, now 90% complete and scheduled for completion by next spring. As the Lead Designer on this design-build, BCC Engineering takes pride in our partnership with The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western on another major project in the Tampa Bay area. The I-10 bayway bridge in Mobile is going to be an impressive project!
The Tampa-based complex bridge design group is excited to join our fellow TYLin team on this Signature project. The I-10 #bayway Bridge will connect Mobile bay’s eastern shore to #ALDOT ‘s striking new #cablestay signature structure. The team’s #ABC (gantry erected) design approach will reduce #MOT impact via a speedy construction. The new structure increases channel capacity for both commercial barge and recreational vessels in #Mobile. TYLin is the prime design consultant on this high profile #PhasedDesignBuild project and the Tampa office will lead the eastern and western tie-ins on this 7mile + long structure. The infrastructure marvel will not only enhance maritime traffic flow but also vastly improve commuting conditions for the traveling public by doubling the capacity of the existing condition. SCP was thrilled to supply the precast deck slabs and BT 56" beams for the SR 83 at Polecat Creek Bridge Replacement in Walton County, Georgia, in collaboration with C&S Contracting Co., LLC. By using UHPC closure pours to attach the deck slabs to the beams at the jobsite, this design has significantly expedited the construction process.
