Standard's employees went above and beyond this year helping our local Families in need! Standard hosted it's 2nd annual Angel Tree drive! We assisted 20 different families in need this year. We want to thank Major Lois Leal with the Salvation Army South Texas location. We are privileged to know her and to be a part of their major impact in our area. 43 Years at Standard Casualty and Still Going. That’s Grit. That’s ONE Cavco. That’s Sharon Foyt. When?Sharon Foyt, Cancellation Department Manager,?walked into?Standard Casualty Company?on her first day of work in 1981, Ronald Reagan had just entered the White House and Sandra Day O’Connor had just become the first woman elected to the U. S. Supreme Court. Neither turned out to be a match for Sharon’s tenure, though. She has worked at Standard Casualty in New Braunfels, Texas, for 43 years. Her dedication exemplifies the?ONE Cavco principle to grow ourselves and our company.?Consider this — she's grown both for over 4 decades! Born and raised in beautiful New Braunfels, located in the Texas Hill Country about an hour’s drive south of Austin, Sharon stayed at Standard Casualty even though she was offered several out-of-town positions over the years. She wanted to remain close to family and friends and keep working at Standard Casualty, because she loves its family atmosphere. 43 Years of Challenges and Changes are no Match for Sharon As you can imagine, Sharon has seen many changes during her more than 4 decades at Standard Casualty. In fact, when she began working there, Standard Casualty was owned by Lane Wood, Inc., which had recently relocated from Houston. In addition to owning Standard Casualty, Lane Wood owned Allen Parker Co. and Riley Mobile Homes, the company that originally hired Sharon. Thankfully, Standard Casualty snapped her up and she has helped it grow into the company it is today. “I feel fortunate to have been at Standard Casualty and getting to work and live in New Braunfels for so long,” said Sharon. “Standard has always pressed forward with grit, achieved its goals and been there for its employees. It’s a great company to work for; 43 years says it all.” While Sharon isn’t ready to retire any time soon, when that time does come, she hopes to travel, continue her arts and crafts projects and, most importantly, spend time with her children and grandchildren. “Sharon perfectly exemplifies ONE Cavco,” said?Regan Fackrell, President of Standard Casualty Company.?“She supports and inspires everyone here.?We’ve been extremely fortunate to have Sharon for 43 years. We hope she’s just getting started.” Staying at one company for over 4 decades is certainly impressive, but Sharon’s team members are doubling down on her staying another 43 years — 2067 will be here before you know it. ??

Standard Casualty Company Works to Make Things Around Them Better by Helping the Children of South-Central Texas Throughout the month of July, Standard Casualty Company and its team members stepped up to the plate in a big way by donating school supplies to Communities in Schools of South Texas, an organization dedicated to helping K-12 students achieve success in school and beyond. Spearheaded and coordinated by?Sarah McDaniel, Direct Agency Manager?(pictured below),?Standard Casualty collected an array of new school supplies, including binders, pencils, notebooks, rulers, crayons, highlighters, backpacks and more! Everything a child could possibly need to be set up for success in the coming school year. The sheer amount of donations was impressive. While it’s not the reason Standard Casualty and its team members took the time and energy to do something that will help so many, the gesture perfectly exemplifies the?ONE Cavco principle?We continually make things around us better. It's a great reminder that ONE Cavco principles should extend beyond our company; imagine if everyone worked to make things around them better. Standard Casualty imagined it, then did it! Great job, Standard Casualty and your stellar, inspiring team members who helped students and their families in your local community in the New Braunfels, Texas area and beyond get ready for the upcoming school year.
