Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDG-Challenge South Africa in partnership with Soapbox, challenged university students to create innovative solutions that aim to address some of the world’s most pressing issues, such as clean energy, gender equality, responsible consumption, and climate action. Standard Bank partnered with students from the University of Pretoria for this year's Challenge, joining Anglo American Platinum (with Wits University) and Ivanhoe Mines (with the University of Johannesburg), the other organisations also participating. The University of Pretoria students together with Dr Manessah Alagbaoso and the Standard Bank sustainability team, explored ways in which we can incentivise our clients to adopt sustainable practices.
