?? Kicking Off Our Leadership Training with Tenaris USA! ???? This week, we launched the #Leadership #Fundamentals #Program, designed and facilitated by Stamina. The first in-person session took place in Houston, Texas, where we explored key leadership practices that foster engagement and high performance. And this was just the beginning! We also hosted the first peer coaching session, creating a space for shared learning and growth. The journey continues with virtual sessions, interactive assignments, and group coaching to reinforce learning and tackle real leadership challenges. ?? The goal? To equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on tools to effectively drive engagement and performance within their teams. Through a dynamic, experiential approach, leaders will strengthen their skills and apply what they learn directly to their day-to-day challenges. IWD – DEI no es cuotas. No volvamos para atrás. Hace tiempo que observo lo que está pasando con DEI y quiero hablar al respecto. Me frenó la radicalización y politización del debate y la rápida alineación corporativa, pero las veces que dejé de expresarme sobre temas difíciles fueron las veces que perdí mi identidad. Así que aquí vamos: DEI no es cuotas de reclutamiento y promoción. Se ha reducido la conversación a este único punto, como si fuera lo único que significa diversidad, equidad e inclusión. Sí, las cuotas son una herramienta —polémica, sin duda— que busca corregir inequidades estructurales, pero no son el objetivo final.? Y si hay algo que realmente da?a la conversación, es cuando alguien dice “debe haber sido un hiring DEI” cada vez que un avión se cae o algo sale mal. Esa frase es puro racismo. Es perpetuar la idea de que las minorías somos menos competentes. Pero DEI es mucho más que eso: ? Es entender que la diversidad y la inclusión permiten a las empresas acceder a un mercado más amplio de talento y clientes, en un contexto donde ambos son escasos. ? Es reconocer que la diversidad impulsa la innovación, el compromiso y, en última instancia, las ganancias. Las investigaciones lo han demostrado una y otra vez. ? Es aceptar que la meritocracia solo existe cuando la cancha está nivelada. ? Es comprender que se pueden alcanzar grandes resultados y al mismo tiempo liderar con humanidad, generando espacios de trabajo seguros y respetuosos. ? Es alentar a los hombres a asumir tareas de cuidado, porque la equidad no es un asunto solo de mujeres. La diversidad me atraviesa personal e interseccionalmente. La brecha no es una abstracción. No lo dice solo el World Economic Forum, lo vivimos millones de mujeres y minorías todos los días. Lo vi, lo escuché y lo experimenté en 25 a?os de carrera profesional. ?? No volvamos para atrás. En este Día Internacional de la Mujer, reflexionemos sobre la verdadera situación de las mujeres —y de todas las minorías— en nuestras organizaciones. Y si realmente queremos ser parte del cambio, ser aliados no es solo una intención, es una acción: cuestionar nuestros propios sesgos, promover entornos inclusivos y respaldar políticas que generen equidad. Together with Work In Love, we are delivering the second edition of our Strategic Talent Management Program. ?? We are finalizing the planning and communication efforts to launch a project—sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank and under Alacero, Asociación Latinoamericana del Acero—to define the Skills Strategy for advancing skills transition in the LATAM steel industry. ?? In celebration of #InternationalWomen’sDay, we are working with several organizations to deliver our Women’s Leadership Workshop “Leading your Career”, reinforcing our commitment to create opportunities to level the field for women in the workplace. Leadership Skills and Strategies for Women This week, I designed and facilitated a session for Control Risks Women’s Network titled "Leading Your Career - Leadership Skills and Strategies for Women to Overcome Professional Challenges." It was a session filled with practical takeaways for strengthening leadership skills and advancing professional goals. The agenda was ambitious: ?? Understanding the landscape: We explored the current status of women in the workplace, analyzed gender gaps in senior leadership, and tackled the reasons why diversity and inclusion initiatives often fall short. ?? Empowering through skills: We introduced key strategies to overcome professional challenges, focusing on Recognition, Influence, and Allyship. ?? Taking action: Every participant left with an individual action plan to bring these strategies to life. A heartfelt thank you to the Skills Building Committee for making this session happen, and especially to Alison M. Smith for her incredible collaboration.
