Despite the worry of a loved one's deployment, she was able to turn it into a positive experience. “Recently our son was deployed to Germany. Sometimes a deployment can bring safety concerns, knowing your loved one is miles away and in potentially dangerous places.? In this case, it brought a silver lining. We were able to travel and visit him, returning to a place we lived 31 years ago, reconnecting with our neighbors, sharing some of our favorite places with our son, and seeing his professional world.
