Staffing Alternatives' currently has a client in Pennsauken, NJ who is looking for an Associate Packaging Engineer. The?Associate Packaging Engineer?will support the Senior Packaging Engineer by designing effective retail packaging, shipping cases, in-store displays, and other items. This role will also be responsible for creating prototypes, conducting hands-on testing, and various administrative tasks. This is an onsite position. Duties/Responsibilities: *Develop and maintain packaging specifications for use domestically and abroad. *Generate and maintain accurate GTIN and UPC databases for all items. *Built and maintained TIHI reports for packaging using TOPS software. *Assist in the review and approval of dielines from printers. *Provide the Graphics team with dielines and renderings of proposed new packaging with respect to timeline needs. *Aid in creating new, structurally sound dielines as needed. *Work with innovation, sustainability, brand voice, and efficiency in mind. *Communicate effectively with vendors and internal Sales and Supply Chain Departments to ensure designs meet customer needs. Required Skills/Abilities: *Knowledge of packaging materials and design, including but not limited to paper boxes, plastic flow wrap, corrugated cases, and displays. *Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Proficient in Microsoft Office and ArtiosCAD design software. *Ability to work independently and in a team setting. *Strong verbal and written communication skills *Ability to multi-task while staying organized. Education and Experience: *Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Engineering or Graphic Arts, preferred.
