We're pleased to announce the global launch of direct to consumer environmental offsetting through our Carbon Negative Coffee! On 24 May 2024 the worlds first Carbon Negative Coffee was sold at the Swartswood Deli in Stillwater New Jersey. This marks the first time a specific consumer transaction was directly and verifiably offset by environmental action elsewhere in the world. In this case, the approximately 50 grams of carbon required to deliver an end consumer one 8 oz. coffee (including everything from cultivation, shipping, roasting, and packaging such as the cup, lid etc.) was matched with 100 grams of carbon removed by two advanced bioreactors called Liquid Trees. Liquid Trees are advanced bioreactor systems developed by MicroAlgaeX AS and partnership with Bo?azi?i University, and delivered by our partners at Vertical Green S.L. This Launch proves a baseline capacity for the general public to directly drive environmental conservation and environmental integration technologies through consumer choice and represents a watershed moment in human-environmental integration. https://lnkd.in/erD4J4Xe
