This morning was a proud moment for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, as our CEO, Patrick Schmalz, was invited to lead the audience in reciting the beautiful and timeless Prayer of St. Francis at the 24th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast. We are deeply grateful to Michael G. Pappas for his visionary leadership of the SAN FRANCISCO INTERFAITH COUNCIL and for fostering a spirit of unity among diverse faith communities. Our partnership with the Council is one we deeply cherish, as together we work to bring hope, dignity, and healing to those in need, including the unhoused and survivors of domestic violence. On Saturday, October 12th, St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco (SVDP-SF) attended the Bay Area Rosary Rally hosted by the Archdiocese of San Francisco at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption. Our table at the Ethnic Food Festival following the mass offered immigrants information on SVDP-SF's shelters and support services.
