I started talking to editors about my book idea right as the pandemic hit in 2020. In-person meetings moved to video and I didn’t make it to Macmillan Publishers’ St. Martin's Press office until this week, 5 years later! It’s been a journey to say the least 📚 I’m checking out the studio to record my audiobook for Dreaming of Home! 🎧 ✨ It’s such an exciting process, and I’m documenting every step of the way. This working class immigrant kid who grew up undocumented in Queens, NYC, never thought she would publish a book. I got here because I met courageous undocumented young people and community organizers fighting deportations who inspired me to tap into my power and the power within our communities to create change. So incredibly grateful for the amazing team at St. Martin’s Press who are making it all happen! 💪🏼 I can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes moments with all of you. Stay tuned!
