A unified voice for St. Joseph traveled to the nation’s capital this week. More than 30 community and business leaders participated in the annual Washington, D.C. Fly-In. The delegation met with lawmakers and their staff members to discuss priorities including the strength of the 139th Airlift Wing, economic development and agriculture, workforce and education, and healthcare. Participants also received briefings from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and heard from Major General Duke Pirak, Acting Director of the Air National Guard. This fly-in demonstrated the power of collaboration and the commitment of St. Joseph leaders to make our voices heard on the national stage. The St. Joseph Community Alliance helps coordinate this Chamber event. #sjchamber

Today the Pony Express National Museum honored Johnny Fry's first ride leaving the stables on April 3, 1860, at 7:15 p.m. The museum also celebrated Louis Killackey and his horse, “Stormy Dodger," commemorating his contribution by placing a horseshoe on the Pony Express wall. This year’s theme is celebration, so we're hosting some of our favorite holidays for our volunteers who work on the campaign. Thanks to Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, Butchart Flowers for the centerpieces, The Den for our Beyond The Belt gift cards and Gina's Cafe and Catering for the Thanksgiving meal! 🥘 So thankful for these amazing volunteers who will spend the next four months working hard to make our Chamber stronger.
