St. John Center is on a mission to end homelessness for good. We exists to address barriers to housing and self-sufficiency so that each person we serve can move home. We are a Housing First organization across our three programs: 1. The Day Shelter and Social Services Center is open 365 days a year during the day to provide shelter and resources to people who identify as male. 2. The Street Outreach Team build relationships with people living in encampments, abandon buildings, under highways, and other places not fit for habitation in order to connect them to services and shelter. 3. The Permanent Supportive Housing program provides rent and permanent case management for 92 formerly homeless adults.

At St. John Center, we’re committed to meeting not just the housing needs of our clients—but their basic, everyday needs as well. Right now, we’re seeking donations of new, unused toiletries to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Items like travel-size soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and lotion are small gestures that make a big impact on a person’s sense of dignity. If your organization, team, or network is looking for a meaningful way to give back this month, we’d love your help in restocking our shelves. 📍 Donations can be dropped off at St. John Center or visit the Amazon Wishlist https://a.co/dJQb2rP 📦 Bulk or group contributions welcome! Thank you for being part of a community that cares. #StJohnCenter #ToiletryDrive #SupportWithDignity #CommunityCare #CorporateGiving

We are proud advocates of #SaftandStable.
Everyone in our community deserves safe and stable housing, and we can make it happen in partnership with city leadership! 🏘️ Metro United Way was excited to to join #SafeandStable advocates to kick off Louisville's first ever Housing Advocacy Week! Our own Josh Williams helped outline our vision today before Metro Council. Thank you to Councilmembers Ben Reno-Weber, Ginny Mulvey-Woolridge, and Kevin Bratcher for meeting with us. We look forward to engaging with Council more to advocate for robust investments towards homeless services, housing stability, and affordable housing developments.
