Happy Volunteer Week! Volunteers are essential to the compassionate environment we create at St. Francis. In 2024, we had a record 198 volunteers who volunteered a total of 11,391 hours at St. Francis!  Thank you to all of the St. Francis volunteers who make a difference every day for our patients! #volunteer

Throughout March, St. Francis held a Food Fight between Sr. Team members. Thanks to the generosity of St. Francis care team members, 1,502.2 pounds of food and $400 in cash donations will be donated to CAP Agency! Laura Randgaard, Chief Nursing Officer, was the winner of the food fight with 447 pounds collected! An additional financial contribution will be donated to Laura's selected community program: Southern Valley Alliance.

We are thrilled to have had three of our nurse leaders attend AONL 2025 Conference in Boston, where they presented a powerful poster presentation on Code Hope, a strategy for peer support after traumatic events at the bedside. The innovative approach aims to provide essential support to nurses facing challenging situations, fostering resilience and well-being within our healthcare community. The AONL 2025 Conference brought together 4,300 attendees, featuring over 50 high-impact sessions and keynote speakers. Our nurse leaders were honored to be part of the inspiring event, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on nurse leadership and peer support. We are incredibly proud of the team and the impact they are making for care team members at St. Francis, and now sharing their knowledge and Code Hope process with others to make an even larger positive impact! #NurseLeadership #AONL2025

We are excited to announce that St. Francis has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Hospital Gold Standard - State for Hernia Repair Surgery! Castle Connolly Top Hospitals are nominated by providers and go through a rigorous standards review. St. Francis' recognition puts us in the Top 10 in Minnesota for hernia repair surgeries.

Thanks to Saints Foundation, our surgery department now has adorable teddy bears to give pediatric patients!

The Saints Foundation is now accepting applications for the Eileen Dietz Nursing Scholarship, Sheridan Hafdal Medical Career Scholarship, and Culvers Medical Career Scholarship.
