WE DID IT! With the help of numerous friends, we secured not one… but TWO incredible matching challenges in just 33 days!! (yes, 33 days to this glorious result!) We secured the second matching challenge of $250,000 just before Independence Day… and a good bit more. The response from the weekend leading up to the June 30 deadline was exhilarating, with nearly $85,000 of donations and pledges pouring in to get us through this finish line by a good margin. Drumroll please… which means we raised almost $1.8M of the full $2M Phase 2 cost… AND… The board authorized our contractors to stay on site this July so we will have a complete school by the new year! 🙌 🎉 In fact, they've already gotten started on demolition work in the old swimming pool room to create our new community and events hall! Thank you to our generous matching donors, to everyone who gave and to everyone who prayed for this outcome. We are overjoyed to share the amazing way this community has rallied in generosity since the start of June... together you have FULLY MATCHED the $500K Matching Challenge our anonymous benefactors offered. Let's hear it for the Class of 2024! These St. Ambrose Guardians are going off to a wide variety of paths, from apprenticeships in the trades, to missionary work, to full-time studies at universities near and far. So far these 23 graduates have been awarded $451,000 in scholarship money (and some offers are still coming in) which is an impressive testament to their hard work and academic achievements! It's official! St. Ambrose Academy will begin the 2024-2025 school year on the beautiful and historic Holy Name Heights campus! ✨ Our New Home ✨ Situated on over 70 acres of sprawling greenspace and conveniently accessible from the Beltline, it is an ideal setting for the transformational task of educating children in the lights of reason and Christian truth and forming them in corresponding virtue. St. Ambrose is leasing and improving two expansive floors in the northeast wing to serve up to 280 students, comprising nearly 24,000 sq. ft. The school will offer the comprehensive and desirable amenities families seek, with arrangements to use the original oratory for worship as well as the gymnasium, outdoor ball fields, and greenspaces from the days this hallowed site operated as Holy Name Seminary. These two educational floors will include all newly renovated, purpose-designed areas -- exceptionally suited for classical (seminar-style) instruction and with dedicated spaces for the sciences, arts, and student learning services. We also look forward to opening a new community room for large gatherings (and more) as part of the Phase 2 work. ✨ Help Us Reach the Finish Line ✨ Thanks to generous, early supporters, we already have $6 million committed for the first series of renovations to create a fresh, new school environment.
