Partnerships powering the future!! Over the weekend the joint partnership of the Minnesota NECA Chapters and the Local IBEW's hosted a 'Power Girls Electrical Day' at the St. Paul Electrical JATC facility. The 'Power Girls' program is facilitated through the Girl Scouts River Valleys, and offers girls scouts the chance to explore the construction trades industry and enhance their STEM skills. NECA and the IBEW host 4-5 electrical focused events a year with a "learn from the pros" blueprint in mind. Thank you to the IBEW members from the field as well as NECA contractor representatives who volunteer their time and expertise towards the training of electrical construction skills for the participants! St. Paul Chapter NECA congratulates all Electrical Technology students who finished out the semester this week with a great graduation ceremony celebrating perfect attendance award winners, student of the year, scholarship recipients and all graduating students who are one step closer to a rewarding career in the Electrical Industry. The St. Paul Chapter is honored to award 7 scholarships this semester! The chapter is committed to continually offer this scholarship every semester with the goal of bringing more women, people of color, and indigenous people into the Electrical Industry. We also want to thank all staff of the Electrical Technology program Saint Paul College-A Community and Technical College for their commitment to preparing and educating the next great professionals entering the electrical industry!
