Turning pre-loved into re-loved so every child thrives.
About us
Our Village is an exciting new chapter for three of Victoria's most loved charities. St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums have joined forces. Together, as Our Village, we will increase our impact for babies, children and the environment. This move enables us to put more resources on the front line to achieve our goals of reaching every Victorian baby and child up to the age of six that needs us while reducing the waste that ends up in landfill. Our Village collects pre-loved essential items for babies and children and partners with social services to re-home them so no baby or child goes without. We were founded on the belief that anything is possible when we work together. Today we are a dedicated community of donors and volunteers helping over 20,000 babies and children every year and reducing the waste that ends up in landfill. We welcome volunteers on a daily basis at our warehouses in Melbourne and Geelong to help us prepare donations for distribution.

It's hard to put your children first when everything you own fits into the back of a ute. After their baby was born prematurely and transferred for intensive care, these young parents were stretched to their limits. With two other young children, they were asked to leave their housing whilst their newborn was still in NICU. With limited support, the father reduced his work hours to care for his partner, who lives in constant pain from endometriosis, while they both try to make ends meet far from their family in Queensland. We were here to provide essentials for their baby, to bring a bit of stability and relief, and help enable the family to find secure housing. Thank you for being part of Our Village and making a difference to families like theirs. ??

Last week, I joined my Salesforce team for a meaningful day of volunteering with Our Village. ?? We worked together to assemble clothing bundles for families in need, supporting children from premature babies to teens. This inspiring charity breathes new life into donated nursery equipment, promoting sustainability while helping those who need it most. A special thanks to Jane Synnot and her team for welcoming us once again. Proud to be part of Salesforce, a company that empowers us to give back and make an impact! ?? Mother of three, Jaime, escaped an abusive relationship in 2019. “I always thought ‘Why don’t people just leave when there’s domestic violence?’ I learned the hard way that trying to escape can often be just as dangerous.” After hitting rock bottom, Jaime was determined to rebuild her life. Her first contact with Our Village was through Social Services when she was about to give birth to her third child, Zaydan. “It reiterated the fact that I wasn’t a horrible person or a horrible mother. I realised there were people out there that understood and were able to provide some support. I finally felt like a human being again.” From the moment Jaime was introduced to Our Village, she felt the support of a whole community wrap around her. Today, Jaime’s sons are healthy and happy. But, right now, other families here in Victoria aren’t so fortunate. Women and children escaping domestic violence often leave with nothing. This Christmas, your gift of $10, $50 or even $100 could help them rebuild, with essentials like cots, bedding, clothing and toiletries. Please, if you can, give generously this festive season: https://lnkd.in/gTcW5FeH https://lnkd.in/gVt3MJNK

Here at Our Village, we have hundreds of loyal and dedicated volunteers preparing packages for Victoria’s most vulnerable babies and toddlers. Ahead of us are the busiest, most demanding weeks of the year. This Christmas people across Victoria are struggling to make ends meet. Many of the families relying on us have faced violence, abuse and trauma. Please will you be their Santa, and send a financial donation to help package up what a child most urgently needs?
