Yesterday, SSVM officially revealed its new Shelter Medicine Mobile Unit at Merck Animal Health headquarters in Rahway, NJ. Rowan University President, Dr. Ali Houshmand, Dean of the veterinary school, Dr. Matthew Edson, Section Head for Shelter Medicine, Dr. Kirsten White and other representatives along with Merck's senior leadership, Richard DeLuca, Christine Royal, DVM, Meg Conlon, DVM, Dr. Taylor Tillery were there for the announcement. We are so grateful for Merck's support in helping us provide shelter medicine and community engagement opportunities for students! Other important attendees for the event included Dr. Melissa Resnick, Stephanie Tash, John J. Zabinski, MBA, CAP?, Meghan Tumolo, and Phillip Barnes. Rowan University had a great Homecoming celebration this year with plenty of fanfare, fun and great reasons to visit! From food trucks, prizes and giveaways, and a view of all the exciting things happening around campus, it was a great opportunity to enjoy what this school has to offer! The SSVM table was visited by staff, faculty, students interested in veterinary school and a few canine visitors, too!
