A season finale to remember: We concluded the final leg of our career fair roadshow at Saginaw State University—capping off an incredible journey that took us through Alabama A&M University, University of Alabama Birmingham, Oregon State University, and Lawrence Tech University. We even made a special detour to the Windy City for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) conference—the world’s largest event for women in engineering and tech. Wow, what a ride! It's been such a pleasure connecting with you all, we can’t wait to see what spring brings. Over the last three years, more than 200 co-ops and interns have been in your shoes and made SSOE their launching pad—will you be next? Spreading cheer thanks to helping hands! Our PRIDE Employee Resource Group hosted a food and goods drive resulting in us donating much-needed food and goods to Nashville’s Oasis Center, Portland’s Q Center, and EQUALITY TOLEDO. PRIDE, which stands for People Respecting Identities, Diversity, and Equality, is an employee-led inclusive community at SSOE that brings together LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies with a shared vision. One of PRIDE’s focus areas is strengthening SSOE's connection to the community, which we achieve through both physical and monetary donations to LGBTQIA+ nonprofits. In addition to the recent food and goods drive, the amazing contributions from 32 employees helped us raise $1,050—and with SSOE’s generous matching contribution, we’re donating a total of $2,100 to The Trevor Project. #chooseSSOE #SSOEcares

We’ve been busy working our holiday magic early this season! In partnership with the United Way of Greater Toledo’s “United for the Holidays” program, we sponsored and volunteered for an afternoon of packing bags of food at the Islamic Food Bank of Toledo. We’re proud to report we packed 475 bags—surpassing our goal by a hundred—enough to nourish 1,860 people for a week in Lucas, Ottawa, and Wood counties, where 40% of families live at or below the ALICE* threshold. #chooseSSOE #SSOEcares *ALICE refers to asset-limited, income-constrained, and employed

Crafting connection. SSOE proudly served as the architect, engineer, and interior designer for the recent relocation of Prisma Health Richland Hospital, seamlessly integrating it with Prisma Health Children's Hospital–Midlands. This strategic move was part of a larger initiative to centralize pediatric care for residents by co-locating pediatric practices to the Midlands region of South Carolina. At the heart of this region is Columbia, where our local office employs 31 dedicated professionals who meticulously delivered every design detail. Our talented team created a welcoming, child-friendly environment featuring vibrant interiors, intuitive navigation, and community-reflective artwork—with equal attention given to staff areas. #SSOEsoutheast

Our Mumbai employees take a beat in their new recreation room! Designed for staff to unwind during their busy workday while fostering fun interaction, this new space has been a value-add on multiple fronts. Honoring our past in Mexico. Our offices in León and Chihuahua brought the party to life earlier this month for our Día de los Muertos—or Day of the Dead—celebrations. With colorful decorations, delicious treats, and lively music, we celebrated our heritage, honored our loved ones, and united the living with the memories of those who have passed. From the beautiful ofrendas, traditional altars prepared as an homage to our loved ones, to the iconic and lively La Calavera Catrina, a central symbol of the day, it was a spirited success! #SSOEmexico #chooseSSOE

SSOE President Catherine Myers, a trailblazer in advancing Lean strategies and a barrier-breaker at our firm, will deliver the main keynote on day one of the Rockwell Automation Fair's New Capacity Excellence Summit in Anaheim, California next week. Cathy's presentation will delve into the challenges and opportunities of new capacity expansion, emphasizing the value of creating a pilot area for continuous improvement on a project. Building healthier futures: Our Columbia office had a field day—both figuratively and literally—raising funds for health and safety initiatives within the AEC industry. Earlier this month, our South Carolina employees participated in the American Heart Association Midlands Chapter's Hard Hats with Heart field day for the fourth consecutive year. We had a blast and even took home the Top Fundraiser recognition. The event aims to raise heart disease and stroke awareness in the construction industry, a sector where 1 in 25 workers are diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. #SSOEsoutheast #chooseSSOE

In an era where businesses often overlook the personal touch, we distinguish ourselves by genuinely caring for each member of our team—and yours! When we heard about Shane Jamerson, a mechanical engineer in our Toledo office, and his wife Ammi’s incredible dedication to their local soccer community, we were inspired to elevate our efforts. As the president and coach of Lake Soccer Club, Ammi supports 230-260 young athletes each season, creating opportunities for kids as young as three to start their journey with friends. Shane dedicates his volunteer hours to bolster her initiatives.
