Today, we celebrated the news of our Magnet redesignation. We first received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2019. As always, we have continued to hold ourselves to the rigorous standards of care with which it is associated. We hope you'll celebrate with us as we continue to provide exceptional pediatric care for many years to come.

There are some very tall new helpers at the site of the new SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. These two tower cranes can be seen lifting lots of heavy materials during the day. Then, at night, they illuminate the sky in a dazzling red glow. With these two cranes, the McCarthy team is able to continue their hard work #buildingourfuture

A month ago today - we were celebrating a #FutureDeserved with the community. This year the Sun Run was definitely more than a 6k, it was the biggest to date. Huge thank you to all the sponsors, team captains, runners, walkers & everyone who came out to support our mission!

During Mission and Heritage Week at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, we present the Team DAISY Award to those that exemplify exceptional care. This year, our Team DAISY Award was presented to the 2 South team who were nominated by a parent for their comfort and support after the loss of a child. An excerpt from their nomination reads: "They wept with me, they smiled with me, they embraced me and encouraged me. They reminded me of all of the light my son brought into this world and how he impacted all of them and made the world a better place. While I wish this day wasn't a part of his story, I am beyond thankful that the 2 South nurses were there to help me through it." Thank you to the 2 South team as well as our other nominees from the ACC Clinic and ED Unit Practice Council. We are so grateful for all that you do.

It's SSM Health's Mission and Heritage Week. Today, we celebrated by presenting our Mission in Motion Award. Our Mission in Motion Award Winner for 2024 was Brooke Brothers. Brooke joined the team on the Transitional Care Unit at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in 2003. She has served as a unit secretary, staff nurse, core charge nurse/clinical support nurse, nurse navigator, and now, nurse manager. There are countless families that considered Brooke an integral part of their Cardinal Glennon journey. The support she provides is unmatched. Whether she tackled a challenging care situation, celebrated a discharge, or hugged a parent going through an unimaginable loss, she has done so with Our Mission in mind." Congratulations, Brooke! We would also like to thank our other amazing nominees: Abigail Jackson, Barbara Vindiola, Brandon Hudson, Casey Petry, Daniel Viers, Diane Zuniga, Dr. Damian Lafitte, Emily Price, Hannah Reeves, Jennifer Glore, Julie Weber, Kayla Martin, Kimberly Perry, Lindsay Keppler, Marilyn Krause, Melissa Jackson, Melissa Loftus, Molly Rejent, Rachel Helton, Robert Barton, Rosanna Tochtrop, Tina Trimble, and Valerie Akerson.
