Four and a half years ago, just weeks after my drive-through graduation in the heart of COVID-19, I began my first internship at Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison. It was a transformative experience working alongside attorneys who performed my dream job and witnessing their work firsthand. While my initial days were spent clearing office shelves and organizing folders, each summer brought new challenges and opportunities to grow. From drafting contracts and sentencing memorandums to publishing blog posts and supporting trial preparation, I was entrusted with meaningful work that pushed me to develop both personally and professionally. These experiences taught me the importance of precision, collaboration, and the impact of thoughtful advocacy. More than the skills I gained, what truly defined my time at Sherrard Roe were the people. The attorneys and staff didn’t just guide me—they believed in me, mentoring me through each step of my journey.
