Santa made a quick stop at our Home Office in Smyrna, Tennessee yesterday for our annual Breakfast with Santa event with the Concrete Christian Academy. Families enjoyed breakfast, writing letters, decorating ornaments, and getting to see Santa!

We love teaching kids about concrete! Members of our Fort Worth, Texas sales team visited Bette Perot Elementary to educate the students on how concrete works and why it matters.

The Knoxville team is busy with Lithko Contracting at VERVE Knoxville, a 7-story student apartment complex, near the University of Tennessee. This project will require over 9,000 yards of concrete batched from several of our locations on Rocky Top.

SRM Concrete has acquired Rockport Ready Mix in Cleveland, Ohio. The company has operated a ready-mix batching plant in Cleveland since 1993. SRM Concrete CEO, Jeff Hollingshead stated, “We are looking forward to integrating this new group of team members with our operation in Northeast Ohio. SRM Concrete has announced the acquisition of Fairmount Redi-Mix in Fairmount, Illinois. The acquisition includes a ready-mix batching plant and marks the first SRM Concrete location in Illinois. SRM Concrete CEO, Jeff Hollingshead stated, “We look forward to batching concrete with our new team members in Fairmount, building on the strong foundation they have established, and serving the Fairmount community with excellence.” Now operating ready-mix batching plants in 22 states following this acquisition, SRM Concrete is the largest ready-mix concrete manufacturer in the country with over 8,500 team members.
