  • We had an inspiring session at our Annual Meeting with our guest speaker, Alonzo Kelly! He left us with powerful insights on leadership, communication, and team success. Here are some takeaways: 1?? “Accountability” is too often used as a professional weapon. Let’s rethink its purpose. 2?? “My understanding is…” allows others to share their truth while showing respect. 3?? A mistake repeated isn’t a fluke—it’s a decision. 4?? Humility matters. Your team is either humble or heading towards it. 5?? Visualize success. “See it before you see it.” 6?? Set others up to win, even if it means they “win” the argument. 7?? Always circle back to see if questions come up after they’ve had time to process. 8?? Handle tough conversations by exploring the “why” before delivering hard news. 9?? Slow down with this technique: repeat a phrase until you can say it without hesitation—only then say what you’re thinking. ?? Remember: we might all see the same situation, but we don’t all understand it the same way.
