Over the years, it’s been exciting to see green infrastructure take off across Minnesota as one of the solutions to deal with complex stormwater management challenges. One of the big questions that keeps bubbling up ?? is “how do we effectively maintain facilities to ensure that they actually work (and look!) as intended”? How might maintenance of all those rain gardens, stormwater ponds, and other BMPs become more efficient? It was an honor to work with Capitol Region Watershed District to think through those questions with their staff and community partners to produce a new Facility Management Program. We’re so excited to see this program off and running and looking forward to continue helping with its implementation!
