Congratulations to Athul Prasad from SRA’s Emerging Tech Group for being elected as vice chair of the AI-RAN Alliance working group #3: AI-on-RAN. This Working Group is tasked with defining the radio interface requirements for running AI and Generative AI (GenAI) applications across consumer, enterprise, and government sectors. We're back with another #InternSpotlight! Meet Junho Kweon, a research intern at SRA's Standards and Mobility Innovation Team. Junho is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. His Ph.D. research focuses on developing model-based deep learning methods for MIMO radar waveform design to improve detection performance and spectral compatibility. When asked about his internship he shared: "I am excited to gain hands-on experience in solving practical problems using deep learning. This opportunity allows me to understand real-world demands and evaluate performance in practical settings. Additionally, I am excited to collaborate with experts at SRA, learning from each other, and sharing our perspectives." #LifeatSRA #SamsungResearchAmerica #Samsung #Internship

Xizhen is currently a student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and is working as a machine learning engineer at our Bixby Lab’s NLP team. His focus is on model optimization, training and inference acceleration, and algorithm development. When asked about our #Samsung core values, Xizhen shared: "The value of Change resonates with me the most. In the rapidly evolving tech industry, the ability to adapt and innovate is crucial for success.
