FLAMMABILITY TEST RESULTS: Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue‘s HazMat Team recently tested our drone-droppable/throwable 4-GasPLUS sensor to determine the safety of its operation in flammable environments. ? PASSED: We’re excited to report that the 4-GasPLUS passed the test and did NOT cause an explosion when used in a flammable environment. ??SURVIVED: After intentionally sparking the test chamber, the 4-GasPLUS survived the spectacular explosion with all hardware intact and continued to transmit all sensor data and camera video feeds to the Squishy Robotics UI during and after the explosion. https://lnkd.in/gcN6jasF #flammability #testing #hazmat #sensors #safety #drones #uas

In the first half of 2024, solo female founders secured only 2.2% of VC funding, a statistic that has sadly shown little to no improvement in recent years. The question arises: What steps should women entrepreneurs take to garner more serious consideration from investors? Join us on January 23rd for a thought-provoking film screening of "Show Her the Money"! followed by a panel discussion with Bridgette L. Smith, Jill Fuss, Alice Agogino, and Maria Artunduaga, MD, MPH, MTM who will delve into the challenges, experiences, lessons, and fundraising trends they have encountered over the years. ??? Date/Time: Thursday, January 23rd, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm PT ?? Location: Wareham Development | Splet Theatre - 2600 Tenth St. 3rd floor, Berkeley, CA 94710 ?? RSVP: https://lnkd.in/gC_Q3jFY This event is proudly hosted by Berkeley SkyDeck, Wareham Development, Berkeley Startup Cluster, and Women Entrepreneurs of Berkeley. Let's come together to explore and address the vital issues surrounding funding for female entrepreneurs.

Recently spent a day becoming familiar with our new DJI Flycart 30, while also working with and getting introduced to Squishy Robotics and their Squishy Sensor Robot. These two tools allow for the safe delivery of, in this case, a multi-gas meter with cameras into a possible Hazardous Materials situation. Advances in several technologies being used to manage risk for public safety personnel.

After so many lessons learned during Helene response we have been blessed to have several partners show up and not only provide support, but also vital equipment. Deniz and her team at Squishy Robotics were in Asheville this week to provide equipment that was needed during the S&R efforts. While a multi-gas attached to a M350, being read remotely by an Avata somewhat worked, Squishy Sensor Robot is the solution we needed! The Asheville Police Department is grateful to all of our supporting partners, without them this training would not have been possible. The DJI FLycart makes delivery of the Squishy Sensor seemless. We will continue to train, so that we may be ready and able to attempt to pay forward what we were provided. Thank you again to all that came and continue to come to our aid!
