Saying “I stand with Ukraine” may seem hollow at a time when the U.S. is undermining its ally, but wine lovers at least have a way to show support while enjoying some really delicious vino. Ukrainian wines are virtually unknown here in the US, but their history dates to Phoenician times. Here’s my writeup of the exciting wines from Shabo winery, near Odesa.
