Founded in 1999, Spy Hop is a nonprofit youth media arts and education center whose mission is to mentor young people in the digital media arts to help them find their voice, tell their stories, and effect positive change in their lives, their communities, and the World. We envision a world in which all young people possess the skills and mindsets necessary for success and that their voices are heard and valued as conduits of change in their communities. We offer hands-on project-based programming in film, music, audio, and design in Salt Lake City and across the state of Utah for students ages 9-19 of all skill levels and aspirations. Our model combines positive youth development, arts education, and career preparation to empower young people to gain the skills they need to be successful.

We're so grateful to Bank of America for having us at the #NeighborhoodBuilders Leadership Conference! Thank you for supporting us and other nonprofits.
Just reflecting on the Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Leadership Conference Larissa Trout and I attended last week in Charlotte, NC. We joined nearly 200 other nonprofit leaders from around the country who, like Spy Hop Productions, were also 2024 #NeighborhoodBuilders Awardees for some much appreciated insight, knowledge, and inspiration. This was the 20th anniversary of BofA's program. It's pretty impressive how committed they are to supporting our nonprofit sector both in dollars and in developing talent and leadership!

According to my WHOOP, I spent Friday afternoon hiking/rucking—in reality, I was hosting two awesome groups at Adobe Lehi! First up was a high school business club from Vale, OR, on a school trip visiting tech companies and universities in Utah. Next, the incredible students from Spy Hop Productions (a nonprofit empowering young people to share their stories through digital media). We covered some serious ground on campus tours—especially the stairs! Huge shoutout to the Adobe employee volunteers like Elise Mackelprang, who are always ready to support and inspire the next generation of creators. ?? #AdobeLife #Education #CampusTours #SpyHop #Lehi #K12 #WHOOP

Spy Hop joined the Central 9th Community Council, Central 9th Youth Coalition, and so many more incredible folks for a community clean-up project. Our goal? To clean up the overpass at 200 W and Mead Ave. We couldn't have had better luck with perfect fall weather as we gathered to beautify this space. A huge shoutout to all the fantastic community members who volunteered their time to kickstart this project. We can't wait to see the final result —?and have another beautiful space for the community to gather in our neighborhood. ??
