SpringSpirit's mission is to provide safe pathways for youth to realize life opportunities through sports, education and mentoring programs based on Christian principles. We accomplish our mission through four distinct, yet interconnected, pathways: (1) providing programs, combined with the teaching of the gospel, designed to grow the MIND, BODY and SOUL in a holistic Whole Child model, (1A) In MIND, our educational programming focuses on a wide range of support elements that assists in children and their family’s future. The elements consist of literacy, academic intervention, S.T.E.M., College and Career Guidance, and postgraduation transition support. (1B) In BODY, our athletics programs teach physical development, healthy habits, life skills (teamwork, self-respect, perseverance, etc..) and many other traits. (1C) In SOUL, our spiritual development programming delivers Christian messaging in small group Bible studies for middle and high school students, or via Friday Night Live (FNL), which is our weekly worship for children and families. In addition, we provided opportunities for children to participate in faith-based summer camps (Stoney Creek, Camp Ozark, CG Victory, T Bar), as well as adults are able to attend parenting programs. (2) delivering a first-class sports training and education complex in the heart of the North Spring Branch community, (3) pairing compassionate and caring mentors with our youth, and (4) finding life opportunities that can help our participants contribute to their community and society and act as stewards for others. SpringSpirit has been blessed to serve over 10,000 meals and provide endless amounts of water this week. We worked with many partners and volunteers to make it possible. It has been a trying and challenging week for many Houstonians without power and this was just one small relief that could be provided. Thank you to all of our partners in this effort; HOPE CITY , Spring Branch ISD , Spring Branch Community Health Center, Phillips 66, Operation BBQ Relief, Mercy Chefs, UNION Houston, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Houston City Council District A Member Amy Peck, Spring Branch Family Development Center and several others that made it possible. #partnerships

In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, SpringSpirit and its dedicated partners are steadfast in their mission to support our community. Today marks the third consecutive day of providing essential food and relief to families in need. As our neighbors face the challenges of recovery, we are here to offer sustenance and hope. We prioritize the development of youth through our comprehensive BODY pillar, which emphasizes the importance of recreational sports. Engaging in these activities not only fosters physical fitness but also cultivates essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. This is a great opportunity to be part of a community that values holistic growth and fun on the field. MAM’s service area, especially Spring Branch and The Heights, were hit particularly hard by last week’s Derecho storm. ??? Now, and in the coming days, MAM is here to help families rebuild, but we can’t do it alone. Your generous donation to MAM’s Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund will provide hope and immediate assistance to help those impacted bounce back from this unexpected disaster. ?? Within 48 hours, MAM was providing water and ice to the community, and opening our facilities as a cooling center. The storm and loss of power has meant lost food, lost wages, and additional unexpected expenses for childcare, home or vehicle repair, and more. Since Monday, MAM has provided disaster assistance and essential recovery resources to more than 300 households. This is just the beginning. At this point, we know of AT LEAST 150 additional families that will need to be relocated because their apartment lost its roof or is no longer inhabitable. ??
