You're Invited! The Springfield Art Museum invites fans and friends for a Closing Party/Open House on Saturday, August 24. Museum Director Nick Nelson and Springfield Mayor Ken McClure will make several major announcements, including: updating the public on the Museum's construction plans and timeline; unveiling the Museum's new five-year Strategic Plan; sharing the Museum's fundraising progress toward its $50 million goal; and announcing the Museum's temporary programming and office location during the main facility's construction closure. Remarks will be from 2 - 3 pm; the Museum is open from 10 am - 6 pm. This event, museum admission, and on-site parking are all free.

The Springfield Art Museum invites friends and families to join us for Family Day - with lead support from Edward Jones - this Saturday, August 10 from 10 am - 2 pm. We'll have loads of fun activities for people of all ages including: watercolor painting by water gun (10 am - 12 noon), watercolor + pastel painting, scavenger hunts, word searches, in-gallery activity bags, take-home project bags, Family Art Lab, and FREE Pineapple Whip (12 noon - 2 pm while supplies last). All Family Day activities, Museum admission, and parking are free!

Last night, Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed the state's 2025 budget that included a $10,000,000 investment in the Museum's visionary expansion project. This support brings our funding total to $36.5 million - or 73% toward the $49.5 million goal.
