It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of David Roodvoets, who served as SPRI’s first technical director from 1995 to 2008. Dave was a remarkable innovator and leader in the roofing industry, leaving a lasting legacy through his work in advancing construction standards and promoting resilience in extreme weather conditions. Beyond his technical expertise, Dave generously shared his knowledge and passion, shaping industry practices and contributing to the improved safety of countless buildings. His commitment to excellence and his thoughtful approach to solving complex challenges made a profound impact on SPRI and the wider roofing community. Our thoughts are with Dave’s family and friends during this time. His dedication, intelligence, and warmth will be deeply missed, but his contributions will not be forgotten. https://lnkd.in/dhx7_q4v

???Honoring Excellence at SPRI’s Annual Conference??? At this year’s SPRI Annual Conference, we had the distinct privilege of presenting a truly exceptional recognition—the President’s Award. This honor has been bestowed upon only a select few throughout SPRI’s history, and this year, we are thrilled to recognize?Bob LeClare for his outstanding contributions and unwavering dedication. Bob’s commitment to SPRI spans more than two decades. Since joining in 2002, his involvement has been instrumental in shaping the organization and advancing the industry. He took on the role of Promotion Committee Chair in 2009, was elected to SPRI’s Board as Director in 2010, and served as Secretary Treasurer in that same year. By 2011, Bob was President-Elect, embarking on a two-year term as SPRI President in 2012. After a brief hiatus in 2015 and 2016, Bob returned to the Board in 2017 and has continued to serve with passion and purpose. In addition to these leadership roles, Bob has chaired numerous technical task forces and played a pivotal part in the development, approval, and revision of critical standards such as ES-1, ED-1, and GD-1. His meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful insights have been integral to SPRI’s success and the betterment of the roofing industry as a whole. Bob exemplifies the kind of volunteer leadership that every association aspires to have—dependable, insightful, and endlessly committed to progress. Please join us in congratulating Bob LeClare on receiving the prestigious President’s Award. Thank you, Bob, for your remarkable service, dedication, and for leaving a lasting impact on SPRI and the industry. ?????Congratulations, Bob!????? ATAS International, Inc. Scott Carpenter
