Please meet Sports San Diego VP, Strategic Initiatives, Nathan Kopp??? ? Nathan is originally from Clinton Township, MI and moved to San Diego to work for the US Olympic Committee in 2013. Over the past 15 years, Nathan has worked over 500 events including Super Bowls, multiple World Championships, and the Winter Olympics. His relationships with governing bodies and promoters helps identify San Diego as a premier market for new events.? ? Nathan's favorite place to watch sports? ??The Big House (Michigan Stadium)? ? The third annual Sports San Diego Paddle Out for life honoring organ donation allowed us to come together on Sunday and express our gratitude and love for those no longer with us, but who gave the ultimate gift of life. Often, sports serve as a reminder of life’s extraordinary gift: to run, jump, swim, and explore life to its fullest.?Through the Transplant Games we hosted in 2022, we witnessed the transformative power of transplant recipients getting a chance to experience sports once again. For us, it highlighted the inherent ability of sports to foster compassion, empathy, and unity; in many ways, the truest victories of sports are acts of kindness and generosity. Natalie has a background in both the fitness industry and start ups, which has been extremely helpful in our company's brand evolution from the Holiday Bowl to Sports San Diego. ? ? Sports San Diego's Paddle Out for Life is back! Join us on September 8, 2024, at Kellogg Park, La Jolla Shores at 7:30 AM for an 8:00 AM Paddle Out. Sports San Diego’s Paddle Out for Life honors those individuals who are no longer with us but gave the ultimate gift of life; additionally, it drives awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation. A paddle out is a traditional Hawaiian tribute to the life and legacy of people who passed away.
