Demo Day at Y Combinator is here! We had the chance to check out the teams on Alumni Day, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead. Several companies are already seeing impressive traction, and we’re proud to have invested in Mundo AI (YC W25), superglue (YC W25), Splash and Browser Use. Splash is building autonomous patrol boats (APBs) to defend our nation's most critical infrastructure and secure our borders. Maritime threats are evolving faster than ever before, and conflicts around the world have shown us just how vulnerable our ports, oil rigs and container ships are to attacks. These critical assets drive our economy and must be protected at all costs. As bad actors begin using unmanned systems in the seas and skies, it is clear that a new defensive doctrine is needed. Splash's APBs are designed to patrol coastal areas to intercept narcotics shipments, defend military bases and prevent sabotage of key pieces of infrastructure. Using cutting-edge algorithms, their patrol boats navigate autonomously, allowing one operator to manage a fleet of hundreds. As threats are detected, alerts are sent and an autonomous interception can be executed. With a decade of experience from founding a company that designs, manufactures and sells products to government agencies such as the US Navy and NASA, Ivan Avanesov and Marcell V. know exactly what it takes to make a product at scale, and then sell to the largest of customers. Marcell is a specialist in embedded systems while Ivan has been leading marine robotics projects for the past 6 years.
