I am very excited to represent Splash Technologies in the Sacramento Kings Capitalize startup competition. We are a top 8 semifinalist, and yesterday we had a pitch coaching seminar to help us prepare for the big pitch day on March 12. The top 4 finalists then get an ad during the Kings vs. Nuggets game and a $10,000 prize will be awarded to the fan favorite company. Thank you Monique Brown, Mathew Magno, Andrew Gardner & others who provided us with extremely useful feedback on our pitch yesterday! Want to also say thank you to Cameron R. Law, Dean Croshere, & Nagesh Challa for helping us create a strong pitch deck. Also UC Davis Student Startup Center & Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship for providing us with the resources we’ve needed to make it this far. Good luck to fellow PLASMA 2024 team, EpiSense, who are also in the top 8! We are hoping to see both of our teams in the finals

Our CFO Gabriel Sigala just took home another 1st place win at #angelcon hosted by Growth Factory this Wednesday. The competition was a great opportunity for us to pitch in front of a larger audience. This $1000 will help us produce our alpha version of our product which we plan to install in 10 peoples pool by January. Thank you Cameron R. Law and the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship for working hard to get us the opportunity to pitch at this event. The other two teams have very interesting projects so check them out too! Ritchie M. and his team are building an AI powered software that detects guns for use in schools and other places where security is a concern Ricky Bailey and his team are building headgear for boxers to detect head injury and take preventive action Good job to everyone who pitched and we are looking forward to many more wins in the future
