Fr. Emil Kapaun?was a military chaplain who served in both?World War II?and the?Korean War. He was imprisoned in the Korean war and died one on of the prison camps there. After countless years Fr. Kapaun’s remains were finally positively identified. in 2021 we journeyed with the?Diocese of Wichita?and his surviving family members to Hawaii to receive the remains and then follow them and document the military transfers back to his home diocese in Wichita, Kansas. It was truly a privilege to be able to capture this once in a lifetime experience and honor a war hero and a servant of God and finally bring him home at long last. #catholicvideos #CatholicVideoProduction

On this All Saints Day, watch this moving documentary we produced for the Knights of Columbus about future saint Father Michael McGivney, who was beatified in 2020 and is awaiting canonization. After diagnosing the unborn son of Daniel and Michelle Schachle with fetal hydrops, a doctor presented them only two options: terminate the pregnancy now, or wait for him to die and have a stillbirth. The Schachles begged God for a miracle and asked?Father Michael McGivney to intercede for their son. Their prayers were answered, and their son, Mikey, was miraculously cured. The miracle, attributed to Father McGivney’s intercession, paved the way for his beatification. ?? Watch the full documentary to witness this incredible story of faith! ??

With the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the 2024 World Series last night, we're looking back at one of our favorite recent documentary projects: ? Soul of a Champion: The Gil Hodges Story ? Gil Hodges was a baseball legend who was one of the greatest first basemen to play the game. He helped win world championships as a player for the?Brooklyn Dodgers?and the?Los Angeles Dodgers, and also as manager of the?1969 New York “Miracle Mets.” ? But despite all his?impressive baseball statistics and accolades, it was his humble example of leadership off the field that left the biggest impression on his teammates, coaches, family, and friends. For decades, one of baseball’s greatest mysteries was Gil Hodges’ absence from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. ?? A month after the release of this documentary in 2021, Gil Hodges was elected into Cooperstown by the Golden Days Era Committee. And on October 7, 2022 this documentary received a New York Regional Emmy Award in the category of sports documentary. ?? We are so grateful for the opportunity to tell the story of Gil Hodges and to have played even a small part in getting him the recognition he deserves and taking his rightful place in the Baseball Hall of Fame. ?? Kristin Reilly considers praying the Hail Mary to be her life raft amidst the often chaotic reality of being a mother of seven children while also working full-time in banking and being married to an entrepreneur. ? To ensure that she would actually take time to pray the Rosary and encourage others to do so, Kristin founded One Hail Mary at a Time—an Instagram channel that is now 40,000 followers strong. For a project with the Knights of Columbus, we were blessed to travel to Lourdes in France for the?#WarriorstoLourdes?pilgrimage which brings military members and their families to seek emotional and spiritual healing at the Our Lady of Lourdes pilgrimage site. This is one of the special stories from that powerful experience.

What's the hardest part about creating a video? ?? Getting started. Here are a few practical considerations for when you're embarking on a new video project: ? Ask "why." Why do you need this video? Why is video the best way to tell the story? Why are we doing this and why should people care? ? What kind of video do you need? Narrative, documentary, fundraising pitch, Q&A...There are many ways to approach a subject. What will be most effective for meeting your goals? ? Know your audience. What will best resonate with your audience to gain their attention and elicit the response you desire? ? What is your call to action? They watched your video. Now what? Email sign-ups? Donations? Volunteers? Along with knowing your audience, let your goal and expected outcomes drive the creative process. ? What assets do you have and what do you need? B-roll and interviews are a must. But do you also have archival photos or old videos that could be incorporated? Will you need to stage any action for the video or fill in gaps with professional stock footage? ? How will you use the video? Videos can be an expensive investment, so don't just play the video once at your event or let it languish on your YouTube channel with 14 organic views. Craft a plan to highlight the video across your channels and use bits and pieces of it to create even more content. These are just a few of the questions you should be asking yourself as you approach your next project. And it doesn't have to be overwhelming!
