Once you know the total lifetime cost, it’s time to consider your current expenses. Don't forget the opportunity cost if you don't upgrade. When Le Groupe Martel wanted further to automate their sandwich production in Quebec, Canada, they called us. We've worked with Martel for years, automating their sandwich assembly. But they were ready for robotics to lid their sandwiches--still a tedious manual task. We designed a solution that seamlessly integrates with the existing line. It uses 3D vision and a ST?UBLI Robotics hygienic 4-axis robot arm with a custom end-effector to accurately lid any of their sandwich SKUs. With the new solution, they were able to: ?? Eliminate one operator per shift ?? Increase production from 32 to 50 sandwiches per minute Martel is already looking forward to the next robotic application, and we look forward to continuing to support their efforts.
