In February 2024, Sphinx Performance Academy alumna Lilyanne Dorilas made history with CWRU’s Case University Circle Symphony Orchestra (CUCSO), becoming the first winner of the CWRU Concerto Competition to both compose and premiere her own work. Her Violin Concerto No. 1: II. Golden Hour was performed at the Maltz Performing Arts Center as part of the “Divergent Voices” concert, showcasing all living composers.
