Eight years ago, I put my life on pause, driven by a goal to fix a problem and its horrible consequences I’d felt firsthand. I’m not your typical founder: I don’t write code, I don’t come from a family of entrepreneurs, and the odds were stacked against us (only 1% of venture funding goes to female founders).
