Do you know about the history of wedding escort walls? Wedding escort walls, which display guests' seating assignments, have become a popular trend in today's wedding ceremonies. However, the concept of providing guests with seating guidance at formal events has a much longer history. The origins of escort cards can be traced back to the etiquette practices of the English aristocracy in the 18th and 19th centuries. During that time, guests at formal dinners would line up according to their social ranks before being announced and escorted to their assigned seats by a butler. Today, instead of individual cards, guests' names and table assignments are displayed together on a large wall installation – often incorporating decorative elements like flowers, greenery, or calligraphy – allowing for more creative presentations while streamlining the process of guests finding their seats. #GreatBigGraphics #Wedding #WeddingPlanning
